Questions about Infusion for iPad

I’ve gotten some questions about Infusion for iPad. It will happen, I just don’t have a definitive time frame at the moment.

And unrelated to Infusion, wheels are made for re-inventing. Stay tuned.

Major Infusion 3.0 Bug

No release is perfect. But most don’t have major bugs.

Infusion 3.0 has a bug that will causer timers not to sound or notify if the app is in the background or if the device is locked. Version 3.0.1 has been submitted to Apple and will fix this problem. Unfortunately our experience lately has been it has taken 10 days or more for approvals from Apple. We will request expedited review if possible.

If you need a fix right away, please email support@water-powered.com and we will work something out via ad-hoc distribution.

Thank you for your patience, and thank you for using Infusion!

Observation 20% Off

Observation 2.0 is well on its way with a bunch of new features and full iPad support. In the meantime I’ve decided to drop the price of Observation 1.7 to $3.99.  That’s 20% off. The price will return to $4.99 when Observation 2.0 is released.

Observation 2.0 will be a free upgrade for all Observation 1.x users.

Infusion 2.0.1 & Future

Infusion 2.0.1 has been submitted to Apple for approval. This version fixes a number of small issues that have cropped up with Infusion 2.0. The user-facing issues fixed include:

There are also a few other behind-the-scenes fixes.

Going forward one of the major features I’d like to add is support for multiple infusions. Green teas and some Oolongs can be infused multiple times, but some want different times for each infusion.

Additionally I would like to include more information about each individual tea. The app has a large collection of teas but no tasting notes or general information on what the tea is like, where it comes from, and/or its history. I want to make Infusion about exploring tea as much as drinking it. That’s coming too at some point. This might work better on the iPad support, where you have the screen real estate to read about a tea while waiting on the timer.

Along with an overhaul of the UI. Should be exciting!
